Handmade Touches and Spooky Vibes at LaLa Park

When I met with Autumn & Stacy to discuss their wedding day, they emphasized to me that everything about it was going to be non-traditional - hell yeah! With their wedding the day before halloween and it being their favorite holiday, they wanted to go to the next level in fitting that theme. I’ve always wanted to shoot a full blown halloween wedding and this one was a dream come true!

They asked all their guests to wear costumes, and with some groups that may be ignored but their friends and family totally delivered! An undead priestess as an officiant, Cruella DeVille walking Autumn down the aisle, and surprise dinosaurs during the first dance from Stacy’s dads!

They had amazing details in their own outfits, with Autumn’s mom hand sewing hers and friends and family pitching in to get it finished through the morning of the wedding. They both had the cutest til death do us part pins, and Stacy’s plaid suit was without a doubt one of the coolest wedding suits I’ve ever seen.

Keeping with their non-traditional vibes, during their first dance they chose not to dance solo on the dance floor, but have all their LGBTQIA+ friends and family join them, and it was so magical seeing so much love on that dance floor at once! Rather than a bouquet toss, they tossed a stuffed cat to signify who would adopt the next pet, it was SO awesome.

I loved getting to shoot around LaLa Park’s unique decor, it was so fun and colorful and absolutely fit their style. The casual taco truck dinner and Casey’s snow cones for dessert were the perfect touch on this kick ass day.
