Alternative Bridal Portraits

Bridals. A southern tradition that my northern friends have never heard of.

I often find when looking at bridal portraits by myself or another photographer that we tend to stick to the same safe poses, not wanting to get the dress dirty, etc. But taking those risks and getting funky with your bridals can really turn into magic! This session was conceptualized to show everyone that you don’t just have to stand and smile. This beautiful venue, The Carrington House, was a perfect backdrop for the unique vintage dress we found, and I even tried my hand at floral creating the bouquet on a budget, and holy cow is floral harder than it looks! The dramatic light, the fearless posing, I was in love with everything about this shoot and I hope it can inspire my clients to be bold with their bridals, too!
